The NBA is back in Japan, after a two year hiatus and all the chaos that was caused by the pandemic. The last two NBA teams that came to Japan were the Toronto Raptors and the Houston Rockets. That was a great year for the Raptors, as they were the NBA reigning champions for the 2018-2019 season. Both teams had a lot to prove when they toured Japan. As much as it being a pre-season fixture, the Rockets were looking to show that they had what it took to chase after a championship, once the regular season commenced. The Raptors were a little weakened by the departure of Kawhi Leonard- who signed a contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, during the NBA off-season. Leonard was one of the stand-out players for Toronto, in the NBA Finals, when they pulled off an upset win against the Golden State Warriors. That is still one of the most dramatic game 6 finals, that has ever been played!
However, that is all in the past, and the Golden State Warriors have once again returned to greatness. They are the current NBA champions, and this year, they will show Japanese basketball fans, why they are the best team in the US. The team that will go up against the Warriors- are the Washington Wizards. This Basketball fixture is highly anticipated and hyped up because of the Japanese NBA player- Rui Hachimura! He has been an amazing talent within the NBA and represents his country in the highest accord. Hachimura also plays for the Japanese national team, and played a crucial role, in last year's Tokyo Summer Olympics.

Another highly anticipated match-up for this game- will be between Hachimura and Warriors superstar- Stephen Curry. Both players are currently dominant in the game. Hachimura attacks the rim aggressively, using his size and explosive power, while Curry shoots three-pointers from anywhere on the court, when within range. The man has taken and made shots that leave the crowd in awe, and in pure disbelief. This will be a classic game of strength and power versus skill. Whatever the result, this game promises to give Japanese basketball fans, an entertainment experience like no other! Two fixtures will be played at the famous Saitama Arena, in Saitama, Japan. One game will be on September 30th, and the other, on October 2nd, 2022.
