FIFA enjoyed all the praise- by hosting a world tournament that ended up exceeding everyone's expectations, including their own. You'd think that with all their success from 2022, they would be wiling to relax and enjoy the spoils a bit. That couldn't be further from it. Instead, the federation is riding on last year's momentum with their recent launch. After witnessing the rise of tech and digital era that we now find ourselves in, FIFA has done well in terms of taking advantage and staying ahead of the curve.
At the beginning of 2022, they proved just how tech savvy they are by creating FIFA+. The launch of this platform announced that FIFA had arrived in the technology and digital content creation space. When it comes to football content, there is no competitor for them. Ranging from matches and highlights that date all the way back to the 1950's!, the platform was surely destined for success. Add documentaries, originals and classic interviews with some of professional football's most iconic figures, and you got yourself one heck of a platform.

In continuing their pursuit of excellence within the tech space, FIFA have recently announced the launch of their new tech initiative- FIFA Digital Skills. The purpose of this project is to train and educate all the federations' Football Member Associations on digital skills. They want to empower their Member Associations to enable them to adapt to this digital era. We sometimes take for granted that there are nations out there in the world, with no access to technological tools and lack the necessary digital skills required in modern times. FIFA is bridging this gap with their creation of FIFA Digital Skills. Member Associations' executives will be able to attend online masterclasses that will be given by experienced as well as innovative brands within the digital space. This initiative will be an e-learning platform which can be accessed whenever and wherever. These are necessary skills that Member Associations can use to digitally enhance the football experience for every fan within their football market. It will also be a great way to formulate and implement an effective digital marketing strategy for any association. There is already a buzz and excitement from various association members.
FIFA appears to be a tech pioneer within the business of professional sports. By having a tech platform such as FIFA +, and now
FIFA Digital Skills, they are sure to stay ahead of the curve and will adapt easier going into the future.
